What you'll do

Idle the Wilds. Crawl the Abyss.

Aetherbound is an incremental RPG in a browser tab. The Wilds run while you're away. The Abyss is a crawl you play.

Bind a Founder

Create your lineage. Choose a race and class. Begin your journey into the Wilds.

Gather Aether

Aether trickles in from the Wilds while the tab is open. Click to jumpstart it. Buy upgrades until you don't have to.

Forge Your Gear

The Smithy turns materials into weapons, armor, and trinkets. Stats scale with what you feed it.

Crawl the Abyss

Floors, relics, fights you take. Fall and crawl out in this life, or True Death and name who walks next.

Ascend

Earn it. Permanent upgrades on the chart, and one worn heirloom if you keep it. True Death is the other door.

Yes. The full game is free. Supporter packs are optional cosmetics—badges and banners for your profile. They change how you look, not how you play.
No. Placeholders until studio art lands. Anyone who bought a pack while these were live keeps them as legacy assets. Details on the FAQ page.
Nope. Jump in as a guest. Sign in with Google to sync across devices and use the leaderboard.
The Wilds idle. Aether comes in while the tab is open. The Abyss is a crawl you play. Auto-Strike only on floors you've already cleared — not new floors, not bosses.
Random floors, relics, fights. Fall and crawl out in this life, or True Death and the next of the line. Ascend is earned — the chart, maybe one worn piece.
Not yet. Add to Home Screen on iOS or Android — it runs like an app. No store required.
